“There is something magical about performing at The Bitter End. I have had the opportunity to be part of The Singer Songwriter Sessions a number of times and it is always an honor to share my music at this legendary venue. Thank you Larry Oakes for creating this musical showcase that is welcoming and where I can truly be myself as an artist.”
As a strong vocalist and multi-instrumentalist who’s also a gifted songwriter and storyteller, Sarah Khan distinguishes herself from many pop singers working in the genre. Her decisive artistic vision, combined with her talent and personal charisma is an inspiration.
A native of Long Island, NY she has had a passion for music from an early age and has been influenced by classical and romantic composers such as Mozart and Chopin as well as artists such as Coldplay, Radiohead, U2, Oasis, Madonna, Kelly Clarkson and other Britpop bands of the 90’s.
Upon graduating from New York University, Sarah released her first 6-track EP titled Seven in 2008. She has played at venues in New York City such as Pianos, Rockwood Music Hall, Sullivan Hall, The Cutting Room and the legendary Bitter End where she was named artist of the month for The New York Singer Songwriter Sessions two months in a row.
In late 2015, two of her original songs, “Glory” and “Choose and Find” were featured on the new show “What’s on my IPod” on Women of Substance Radio and Podcast. This show is dedicated to quality female artists hand picked by founder Bree Noble.
Sarah continues to perform throughout Long Island and New York City and has acquired a residency at Sip Tea lounge in Huntington. She was mentioned in a January 2016 issue of Good Times Magazine as “a hot act” to look out for.
Sarah truly enjoys being in the studio and plans to record a follow up EP this summer.
