“I always have a blast performing at the Singer Songwriter Sessions! I love the welcoming atmosphere of The Bitter End and I am so lucky that Larry gave me the chance to play there.”
Yaniza is a singer-songwriter born and raised in Manhattan, who hummed along to music before she could speak. She always loved singing, but it became her passion when she stumbled upon her first voice lessons and guitar lessons at age 16.
Yaniza teaches preschool by day and hits the stage by night. She uploads weekly videos to YouTube and loves performing live and writing original music whenever she can. She has released two EPs, Feel This Way (2013) & Sticks and Stones (2014), and one album, Secrets (2016). Yaniza is most influenced by Taylor Swift, Gabrielle Aplin, Ed Sheeran, and more pop artists. She likes to write songs that blur the line between full-on pop and gentle acoustic.
Yaniza hopes to bring unique music to her audience. She wants to encourage other aspiring singers that they don’t necessarily need a loud voice in order to be heard.
