Andrea Gail

Independent music artist Andrea Gail’s multifaceted artistry encompasses being an
extraordinary vocalist, songwriter, instrumentalist (piano & flute), music educator,
self-published children’s book author and visual artist.

Andrea Gail is originally from St. Louis, MO. She holds a Bachelor of Music
Education degree from The University of Kansas. She taught middle school vocal
music in the St. Louis public school system before relocating to NYC to pursue a
professional music career.

Currently, as a solo artist, Andrea Gail is preparing to release her debut CD titled
‘Something Beautiful’ which will feature her mellow yet high-spirited vocals and
gifted songwriting abilities. She’s also a member and co-creator of The AndJam
Band, (formerly äj). AndJam has released 9 independent CD’s www.andjam.com

As a vocalist she’s worked with the South African trumpeter Hugh Masakela at one
of the 2012 presidential inaugural balls in Washington DC Andrea provided
background vocals for featured artist such as Ashford & Simpson, at a 2001 tribute
to Maya Angelou.

Andrea Gail has free-lanced with numerous music orchestra’s in New York over the
years with orchestra’s such as Ken James, The 767”s, Harold Davis, The Steven Scott
Orchestra, New Jersey Pops, The Gerard Carelli Orchestra and many others.
Andrea enjoyed receiving the opportunity to sing with Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
original hit girl group The Shirelle’s. Andrea also worked briefly with The Shadow
Box Theatre, a children’s musical theater company.

As a songwriter, Cuba Gooding, Sr., lead singer of The Main Ingredient, (Everybody
Plays The Fool) recorded one of her original songs titled ‘Super Man’.

Andrea is also a keyboard and vocal music instructor at Youth Theatre Interactions,
Inc. (www.ytiyonkers.org), an after school program dedicated to enriching the lives
of young people via the arts.

Andrea’s first version of her debut eBook ‘The Grandchild’, a story about an 11-year-
old girl who discovers the importance of family and forgiveness through a new and
unexpected friendship is available via Amazon Kindle.
